Whether you've recently completed your first pass or your final draft
(or even if you just can't seem to get started),
a second opinion can help transform your vision into the kind of project that makes a good impression on readers, viewers, producers, managers, agents, contest judges, etc.
Emmy-winning scribe ANDREW OSBORNE has been on all sides of the development process as a teacher, a script reader for production companies and talent agencies, and as a screenwriter for Warner Bros., MTV, Orion, and the independent festival circuit including
the Sundance, Berlin and Tribeca Film Festivals.
For less than the cost of a typical screenwriting course, you can request an in-depth written analysis of your screenplay and/or schedule a private one-on-one development meeting (in person or via Zoom), complete with advice on how to REVISE, MAKE, or SELL your project.
You've finished a draft of your script and now you're looking for an experienced reader to provide detailed feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of your plot, dialogue, characters, etc.
1. Contact
The first step is to write and say hi! My e-mail address is baitshop3@gmail.com, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about me and/or the process of screenplay analysis through NewEnglandScreenwriters.com!
2. Registration
The next (optional but recommended) step is to register your script with the Writer's Guild of America. Registration provides objective, third-party verification of your claim to an original piece of writing, essentially proving your draft of a script existed as of the date of registration, thus helping to protect your rights in case of any future creative disputes.
But remember: nobody owns ideas. What registration protects are the details of your particular VERSION of an idea.
(And that's a good thing: otherwise somebody would already own every conceivable story concept, from "boy meets girl" to "underdog team wins sports championship against all odds," etc., and then where would we be?) For more information on script registration click here.
